Israel false flag

A report in the American website Foreign Policy exposes for the first time the activities of Mossad conducting false flag operations to support terrorists in Balochistan. But the story may not be what you think, and it actually could provide an opportunity for Pakistan to set the record straight with a key ally.

According to the report published on Friday, former CIA officers have confirmed that Mossad has conducted false flag operations..AGAINST AMERICA.

Buried deep in the archives of America’s intelligence services are a series of memos, written during the last years of President George W. Bush’s administration, that describe how Israeli Mossad officers recruited operatives belonging to the terrorist group Jundallah by passing themselves off as American agents. According to two U.S. intelligence officials, the Israelis, flush with American dollars and toting U.S. passports, posed as CIA officers in recruiting Jundallah operatives — what is commonly referred to as a “false flag” operation.

On discovering this betrayal, American CIA officers and even President George W Bush “went ballistic”.

“It’s amazing what the Israelis thought they could get away with,” the intelligence officer said. “Their recruitment activities were nearly in the open. They apparently didn’t give a damn what we thought.”

America has been suspected for years of recruiting, training and arming Jundullah militants in Balochistan to carry out attacks against Iran and to destabilise Pakistan. The US has always denied these claims, but circumstantial evidence including sources claiming to have dealt with CIA agents themselves always kept suspicions alive. Now, we know the truth. Israel had turned on their supposed ally America and was conducting false flag operations against them.

This knowledge raises to important points for Pakistan security interests. The first is to ask why Mossad would choose to so arrogantly betray their ally America, not even giving a damn what they thought. Obviously, Mossad is trying to stop Iran from achieving a nuclear asset. According to the report in Foreign Policy, they have been frustrated by the Americans unwillingness to allow attacks against Iranian targets.

Israel regularly proposes conducting covert operations targeting Iranians, but is just as regularly shut down, according to retired and current intelligence officers. “They come into the room and spread out their plans, and we just shake our heads,” one highly placed intelligence source said, “and we say to them — ‘Don’t even go there. The answer is no.’”

America also continues to work closely with Pakistan Army and ISI in the war on terror. Pakistan being the only Muslim nuclear state, this must also be a source of anger the Mossad who believe that no Muslim nation should possess a nuclear weapon. For this reason, Mossad would want to destabilise Pakistan and the Pakistan-American security cooperation also. By conducting false flag operations meant to make the Americans look like the ones responsible for recruiting and arming Jundallah militants in Balochistan, Mossad has created suspicion between Pakistan and American officers.

Military and intelligence officers should take this report immediately to their American counterparts and show them that Pakistan, not Israel, is America’s true ally in the war on terrorism. At the same time they should hand the CIA proofs of RAW’s same activities. America continues to say that a stable and secure Pakistan is their goal, and now they can help stop the killings and violence in Balochistan by marching to their contacts in RAW and Mossad and telling them that the game is up!

Removing RAW and Mossad’s source of destabilizing both Balochistan and the Pakistan-American military cooperation will help quickly end the war on terror which is hurting the interests of both Pakistan and America and only benefits Israel and India. Now that Mossad’s nefarious schemes stand exposed, it is time to end them for good.

Senior Al Qaeda leader Younis Al Mauritani arrested in Quetta by Inter Services Intelligence

Senior Al Qaeda leader Younis Al Mauritani arrested in Quetta by Inter Services Intelligence working with US intelligence.

In an intelligence driven operation by Inter Services Intelligence in coordination with Frontier Corps Balochistan, a senior Al Qaeda leader, Younis Al Mauritani mainly responsible for planning and conduct of international operations, was nabbed alongwith two other senior Al Qaeda operatives, Abdul Ghaffar Al Shami (Bachar Chama) and Messara Al Shami (Mujahid Amino) from suburbs of Quetta. Al Mauritani was tasked personally by Osama Bin Ladan to focus on hitting targets of economical importance in United States of America, Europe and Australia. He was planning to target United States economic interests including gas/oil pipelines, power generating dams and strike ships/oil tankers through explosive laden speed boats in International waters.

Through this critical arrest yet another fatal blow has been delivered to Al Qaeda. This operation was planned and conducted with technical assistance of United State Intelligence Agencies with whom Inter Services Intelligence has a strong, historic intelligence relationship. Both Pakistan and United States intelligence agencies continue to work closely together to enhance security of their respective nations. The intimate cooperation between Pakistan and United States Intelligence agencies has resulted into prevention of number of high profile terrorist acts not only inside Pakistan/United States but elsewhere also in world.

Proposed Map of Division Between Khilafa and India

Proposed Map of Boundaries Dividing Pakistan Between Khilafa and India

Several analysts have been trying to unravel what has quickly become the obvious conclusion that forces are at work against Pakistan, and that the end game is a New Partition that dissolves Pakistan from existence. But recent discoveries about who is behind this nefarious plot may surprise you.

Some excellent research has been done that suggests a trio of conspirators to this plan. These are CIA, RAW, and the network of jihadis supporting a pan-Islamic Khalifat that I will call Taliban for simplicity even though this is not exact. But something has always kept this theory from being readily acceptable. What would the US gain from a plan to divide Pakistan? At first it seemed obvious that the end game was taking control of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons. But this theory falls apart too quickly. Also, it ignores the reality of American military power and political hegemony. If the US wanted to divide Pakistan, it could do so easily just as it did when it broke up Yugoslavia in the 1990s.

American involvement in a plot to divide Pakistan is also impossible to reconcile with the level of military support being given. The US would not give $2 Billions in military support if it thought this would end up in the hands of Taliban militants and their allies. And even though the Americans do provide support to India, it is clear that they do not trust the Indians as a lone power, preferring to keep them on a short leash.

There are two groups who gain from this plan – the actual conspirators which are India and the Taliban as defined above. It may seem strange that two mortal enemies would cooperate to divide a country like this, but actually there is historical evidence for just such a plan. The American-Soviet Cold War saw frequent times when the two nations would divide up countries based on maintaining a balance of powers, all the while scheming to tip the balance and overthrow the other.

This was also the rationale behind India’s infamous acts against Pakistan in 1971. Certainly the Congress was no friend to Awami League in Dhaka, but it was a marriage of convenience as they say. Both Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Indira Ghandi got their wishes by severing East Pakistan. Do you not see that today Manmohan Singh is playing the same game with Mullah Omar? Why do you think that peace talks are rejected every year?

When Pakistan was but a dream in the hearts and souls of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, it was already opposed by Syed Abul A’ala Maududi and other Islamists who rejected the idea of a sovereign nation and instead were at the time still promoting openly a pan-Islamic Khilafa. Only when Pakistan became a reality from the blood and sacrifice of our ancestors were these anti-Pakistan voices silenced. Just because their story changed, their plans did not change. They have continued to work behind the scenes to create a new Khilafa in which they are the self-appointed rulers. This is why they continually look to the Ottoman

This marriage of convenience is the basis for carrying out the division of Pakistan. By now it is quite clear that the 26/11 attack in Mumbai was carried out as an inside job coordinated by RAW. Though the actual violence was carried out by LeT militants, such an obvious plot could only be possible if RAW looked the other way long enough to allow for the acts to be carried out. In fact, six days before the attacks the security of the hotel was stopped. This is because RAW and LeT must have been working together.

Now, there has been some confusion over the involvement of the American David Headley. But when the facts of his case are understood vis-a-vis the New Partition, it all begins to make sense. When David Headley was arrested, American officials refused to let RAW agents interrogate him for three months. This is because CIA had become aware of the connections between LeT and RAW and had to ensure that there was no time for RAW agents to slip Headley a ‘suicide pill’ or to ‘get their story straight’ about how his involvement would be explained. This is also why India is so determined to have Headley extradited so they can silence him for good.

Indian police preparing to hand over Kashmir to jihadi control

Indian police preparing to hand over Kashmir to jihadi control

Most recently, the Kashmir intifada has taken a curious change. Islamic lashkars are no longer committing attacks while the frequency and intensity of Indian violence against Muslims has skyrocketed. Actually, what militancy has been witnessed in Kashmir recently has been of the defensive variety in which individuals are trying to protect the people and property against Indian violence.

Indians are basically carrying out a slash and burn program against Muslim Kashmie because the agreement with the jihadis allows that it will be ceded to the Taliban. India has understandably agreed to this because it has become unrealistic for them to maintain control over a Muslim population that demands their rights, and India would gladly trade this parcel of land for some others.

Jihadi from Lahore bombing attacks arrested by police AKA national heroes

Jihadi from Lahore bombing attacks arrested by police AKA national heroes

Just as the lashkars have pulled out of Kashmir, they have reorganized in force in Karachi and Lahore. This is because these cities will fall on the Indian side of the new partition. Look at the targets of militant violence in both cities. Targets have been government security infrastructure like CID headquarters and religious locations. Like their Indian co-conspirators, Taliban are not going to leave behind any gifts for the new tenants. Jihadis are bombing mosques and holy sites for two reasons. First, these sites they are attacking are Sufi or Shia or some other site that is considered bid’ah according to the Wahhabism of the jihadis. Just as they destroyed the Buddhas of Bamyan with no care for history, so they are also willing to burn Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine. But the additional reason is that they know that the Hindus will make a mockery of any remaining holy sites, even if they do not meet the artificial standards of piety that are the inventions of the jihadi leadership to secure their control over Pakistanis.

Just as during the Cold War between America and the Soviets, each side is willing to make some sacrifice and play a great game because they believe that in the end they will be able to overcome the other. The jihadis believe that they can establish a Khilafa-e-Rashid from the land of Afghanistan and Western Pakistan and use this as a base to expand their power. For this they are willing to sacrifice parts of the Punjab and Sindh. They see this as a temporary condition only because they believe they will regain this land as the Ottomans who are their model.

Similarly, the Indians see such a plan of their own. It will be some sacrifice for them to finally loose their grip on Jammu and Kashmir but they will see this also as a temporary condition while they gain Karachi and Lahore. Islamabad, of course, they will rename for Harbaksh after their general of 1965 war since this will be the greatest insult.

The end game then is for Pakistan to be no more. To the jihadis and the Indians both it is merely an obstacle in the way of their game for power.

Protecting the integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan must be the priority number one of all Pakistani nationalists. Now that the RAW-Jihadi connection has been made, we must unite to break its back. In the words of the Quaid-e-Azam, “In our solidarity, unity and discipline lie the strength, power and sanction behind us to carry on this fight successfully.”

Presently there are forces trying to divide us so that we may be conquered. Some are sworn enemies such as India and some are false allies such as the religious militant groups. We cannot allow them to succeed.

“Muslims! Protect your Hindu Neighbours. Cooperate with the Government and the officials in protecting your Hindu Neighbours against these lawless elements, fifth columnists and cliques. Pakistan must be governed through the properly constituted Government and not by cliques or fifth columnists or Mobs.” (Qaid-i-Azam, 9 January 1948)

Just as Jinnah called on us to protect our Hindu neighbors in 1948 so we must protect all of our fellow Pakistani brothers in 2010. There are evil forces at work that are trying to divide our nation into sects and ethnic groups so that our national identity as Pakistanis will weaken. Our national identity is like the mortar and we are the bricks which may be of different colors or shapes or sizes, but held together with the mortar of our nationalist pride the wall is impenetrable.

Could Extremist Pakistani Bloggers be FBI Moles?

Guest Post By Yahya Hussainy

The David Headley aka Daoud Gilani case has been in the media for a few months now. There have been numerous stories about how Headley was not just an extremist but rather a double agent used by US authorities to help fish out other extremists.

The Headley case highlights how sometimes the people taking the hardest line are actually doing so to entice others with extremist potential into revealing themselves. As Al-Qaeda and other Jihadi groups have turned to the internet for recruitment of future foot soldiers, the FBI and the CIA are also using websites to check out who thinks what and who might be a terrorist or a terrorist sympathizer.

Given the large number of anti-American and even pro-Jihadi Pakistani websites, I have often wondered if some of the more extreme Pakistani bloggers are also “trolling” to find who in the Pakistani diaspora might actually be a potential Jihadi. Some of the bloggers are so outrageously irrational in their attacks on the US, Israel and India that their authenticity becomes clearly suspect.

Yes, the US allows everyone under the First Amendment of its constitution to express opinions. But didn’t many extreme opinion-holders get visited by the FBI immediately after 9/11? It is a known fact that the FBI keeps track of American Nazis and anti-Semites in case they go beyond expressing extreme opinions and actually start acting on them. Why do we assume that is not happening with Pakistani and Muslim blogs?

Sometime ago it was revealed that a widely accessed pro-Jihadi website www.jihadunspun,com was actually run by CIA to help identify Jihadi sympathizers.

So which of the Pakistani bloggers express extreme emotions not because they have these views but rather as a means of “trolling” for others who might be actual extremists? I am sure readers can identify many on the basis of their own suspicions. My own favorite is RupeeNews blogger Moin Ansari who mixes anti-American, anti-Jewish, anti-Indian and anti-everybody rhetoric with his own peculiar mix of sexual innuendo and conspiracy theories. We all know sex sells so if a professional from the intelligence community or law enforcement was helping someone run a blog or website to attract most possible readers and to use that as a technique of drawing up a list of Muslims and Pakistanis with extremist views, a website that mixes sexy headlines with conspiracy theories and hardline ideology could be a likely product.

Now, I have no way of knowing who does or does not work for the agencies and I am not saying that Moin Ansari or RupeeNews are indeed part of the undercover internet-blog strategy of any agency. For all I know, Mr Ansari might just be whatever he claims to be. My only experience with him is that he can dish out a lot of harsh criticism but cannot take any. The last time I posted about him he didn’t take it in good humour or even as me using my right of comment like he does his.

I am just saying that if Moin Ansari was trying to fish out extremists, headlines from like  Did Pakistani PM Gillani grope Sherry Rehman?, Kashmala Tariq turns up heat: Bites more than she can chew?, Sex Antics of Mohandas Gandhi: His Failures, Pedophilia, Adultery, Incest, Sexual Perversion & Fetishes, Sex Life of Indira Gandhi of India: The Indian Matahari,  Indira’s tryst with seduction, Wives that slept with Gandhi would be the perfect attractions for angry young Pakistanis living in America ready for jihad.

So, dear readers, start looking at the hardline and angry Pakistani bloggers with a new angle. Are they really expressing their views or are they moles trying to help the Great Satan –and its South Asian satellite–they criticize so much to identify young men who might hate America, Israel and India enough to wage jihad against them?

Anti-Americanism and the Future of Pakistan

Hypernationalist anti-Americanism is a dangerous path for the nation's future.

Hypernationalist anti-Americanism is a dangerous path for the nation's future.

Anti-Americanism has become quite the trend in much of the country, and this does not hold well for the future. A writer on this blog wrote last week that there were uncomfortable similarities with the political situation in Iran thirty years ago – a reaction against American involvement in the country that popularized a faux-nationalism hijacked by theocratic militants. Renowned defense analyst Ahmad Faruqui notices this as well in his column, Monday’s issue of Dawn, and notes that the conspiracies and anti-Americanism that is being stoked by hypernationalists is not in Pakistan’s interests.

Lost on the anti-Americanistas was the fact that the US was not obliged to provide $7.5bn over the next five years to Pakistan. If the Pakistanis did not like the conditions that came with the funds, they could simply decline the aid. As Senator Kerry put it, the US had plenty of other places on which to spend the money.

When it comes to anti-Americanism, there is little doubt that Al Qaeda and the Taliban lead the pack. But the rightwing parties are not too far behind. At a recent demonstration in Pakistan, bearded men held up placards that flaunted the Yankees in no uncertain terms: ‘Crush, Crush, America.’

But we must ask if this rabid anti-Americanism being promoted by hypernationalists is based in facts. It is easy to come up with wild conspiracy theories, but what happens if you put those same theories to a historical test? Faruqui does just that, and finds some real problems with the theories:

Anti-Americanism has also picked up converts in the mainstream print and electronic media. Conspiracy theories involving America are aired with increasing frequency. Even some leading figures from the diplomatic establishment have joined the fray.

The latest is Shamshad Ahmad, a former foreign secretary and former UN ambassador.

Speaking at a seminar in Karachi on state sovereignty, he went beyond the usual recital of grievances. That well-known list includes three major items. First, the US did not come to Pakistan’s aid during the 1965 war with India. This overlooks the fact that the war was initiated by Pakistan and that US arms were never meant to be used against India.

Second, it did not come to Pakistan’s aid in the 1971 war with India. This overlooks the fact that the war was triggered by the military’s ambitions to negate the results of the general elections and to rule in perpetuity.

Third, it abandoned Pakistan once the Soviets pulled out of Afghanistan in 1989. This overlooks the fact that the US had not guaranteed Pakistan’s security for all times to come against enemies of all stripes.

The former foreign secretary, a strong proponent of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons but by no means a firebrand Islamist, stated: ‘The US had used us as a spy in the past to fulfil its motives, while now it is using us as a mercenary.’ And then came the clincher: ‘It is the US intervention, not the Russian intervention which has kept everything on the boil in the region.’

Some political analysts continue to indulge in conspiracy theories about the attack on Pearl Harbour on Dec 7, 1941 and the attacks of Sept 11, 2001. But Ahmad put himself in a class of one by saying that the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan on Christmas Eve in 1979 was engineered by the US.

He said, ‘The Americans think and plan about things they want to achieve in 50 or 60 years. They created a vacuum in Afghanistan. So after the political manoeuvring in Afghanistan, the US created a way for the Soviet Union [to be] sucked in[to] that vacuum.’

The former senior diplomat, who knows the country’s history better than most, went on to say that the Americans got the Pakistanis on their side by saying that the Soviets were out to fulfil the czarist dream of building a warm water port. This is revisionist history. Right after the Soviet invasion, Gen Ziaul Haq put in a plea for the West’s help, saying that the Evil Empire was about to make a run for Gwadar. He famously rejected President Jimmy Carter’s $400m aid package by calling it peanuts. But when President Ronald Reagan offered him a $3.2bn package, he was all smiles.

These are the historical inaccuracies of a former foreign secretary. Someone who should know better. But the fantasies that are flying around discussion boards and drawing rooms across the country are even more outrageous.

An ultranationalist theory that is rapidly gaining currency in Pakistan is that there was peace in the region until the US arrived in October 2001. Several of the ultranationalists also subscribe to four ‘booster’ theories. Namely, that all of our problems are a result of the Americans.

First, that the US engineered the 9/11 attacks on itself. It needed an excuse to invade Afghanistan and control access to Central Asian natural gas. Second, that Osama bin Laden did not carry out the 9/11 attacks, that he is an American agent trained and armed by the CIA and that he was killed in December 2001. Third, that Al Qaeda does not exist. And fourth, that the Taliban are simply freedom-loving people trying to free their country from foreign occupation. The obvious theory about 9/11 has no vocal adherents in Pakistan. This argues that the attacks were carried out to draw the US into the region, inflame interfaith relations and provoke a holy war that would result in the revival of the caliphate.

This sort of thinking not only ignores the past, but imperils our future. Recall the words of Lt. Gen (retd) Talat Masood and his explanation of why anti-Americanism is a danger to our national defense. Faruqui picks up this same theme in his closing arguments for his column in Dawn:

With every passing week, Pakistan continues to inch towards the brink. Given the frequency of the Muslim-on-Muslim attacks that are now being mounted, it is moot whether Pakistan is a failing state or a failed state. Neither prognosis is good.

The US is not perfect. It has made its share of mistakes, domestically and internationally. A common charge levied by the anti-Americanistas is that the US acts in its own interests. That should be cause for celebration and not denigration. If only Pakistan would do the same. Instead of demonising America, it should turn on its own demons.

This rabid anti-Americanism is a danger to the future of Pakistan. The Iranians also thought that following the words of hypernationalist theocrats would save their nation. Instead, it set them back decades, and still today they are struggling to remove the suffocating regime. Once the militants take control, there is no more confusion about who is the real enemy of the people.

The Americans have made many mistakes, but they have also stood by Pakistan in the past. Today, they appear to be making real attempts at building a partnership with us. To suggest that we turn our backs on them and join hands with the hypernationalists is suicide. After all, there can be no argument that it was Americans who beat to death protestors of the Iranian regime. Inshallah we will not find ourselves in a similar future.
