TTP TARGETING PAK POLICE AND YOUTH

Peshawar suicide bomb attack against police

Taliban butchers are viciously slaughtering our youth and police in a scheme to target the very heart and soul of the nation.

“The bomber was a teenager, he came on foot and blew himself up near the police van,” Ahmed said.

The attack killed three policemen — deputy superintendent Rashid Khan, his security guard and driver — while two civilians also died in the blast, officials said.

“We have received four bodies — three police officials and one civilian,” the head of Peshawar’s main hospital Abdul Hameed Afridi told AFP.

One more person later died of his injuries in the hospital, he said, adding that another seven of the injured were in a serious condition in hospital.

TTP spokesman Azam Tariq has declared that the jihadis have Pakistan’s police and security forces in their sights and will continue to murder them if left unchallenged.

But Pak police are not so easily intimidated by ruthless thugs and miscreants such as this. Senior minister of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province Bashir Bilour responded to say “it will only strengthen our resolve to eliminate terrorists”.

The greatest threat to the future of Pakistan is from these jihadi bands who are so evil that they will strap a bomb to a teenager and send him to his death as attack on our own security forces. What could be more evil than this? But Pakistan police will not be swayed by such tactics rather our resolve will only be stronger as we take the fight to these jihadi monsters and wipe them from the face of the earth.

Pak heroes cleaning up the country

The operation was launched after a militant attack on a levies checkpost in which one security official was killed. One suicide bomber who wanted to target security forces was also gunned down in Bajaur, security officials said.

“Security forces launched an air offensive against terrorist hideouts in different areas of Mohmand and killed 28 terrorists,” senior local administration official Maqsood Amin said. He said 30 terrorists were also wounded in the operation while eight houses belonging to militants were torched. The details, however, could not be confirmed independently due to a lack of independent access to the battlefield by journalists. Separately, a commander among three terrorists was killed by security forces in Mohmand on Friday, near the Pak Afghan border, official said. The forces clashed with the terrorists in Sagi area of Safi tehsil, killing three. The security forces later launched a combined operation in the area to nab the fleeing terrorists. agencies

PAKISTAN NATIONALISTS REJECT JIHADI KILLERS

Real Pak Heroes

Real Pakistan Heroes Police and Military Saving Lives

Following deadly attacks on Pakistani citizens in Lahore and Karachi this week, Chief of Police Lahore Aslam Tareen told The Nation that “religious elements are playing in the hands of enemies of Pakistan in the name of Islam”. Pakistani nationalists must unite to defeat these Trojan Horses who seek to destabilize and break up the Pakistani nation.

Federal Minister for Interior Senator Rehman Malik condemned the attacks carried out by jihadi suicide bombers and declared Pakistan Police Medal (PPM) to those heroes who have sacrificed their lives in the line of their duty. The injured Manzoor ASI has also been awarded Pakistan Police Medal (PPM) on the recommendation of IG Sindh.

Pakistani police and military are the true heroes against such anti-Pakistan elements as TTP, LeT, SSP and other jihadi groups that murder innocent Pakistani citizens and attempt to create chaos and division among the masses. True Muslim leaders will take an effective role to counter the recruitment of Pakistani youth by these groups.

The government must take concrete steps to deal with hostile elements to disrupt their nefarious designs. Moreover, religious leaders of different factions should play more effective role to counter this menace as the country is at war in which the enemy is unseen.

There is a need for general awareness among the public about terrorists’ techniques used to subvert the uneducated youth and their method of infiltrating communities and masses to gain their support during planning and execution phases.

Police experts emphasise on the importance of resumption of local community vigilance system, coordination with police and monitoring of children’s activities by their parents.

Also the proud Pakistani citizen must exercise vigilance by being aware of jihadi techniques and tell-tale-signed and alert law enforcement of these when they are noticed.

‘We need the cooperation of public and activation of community vigilance system as it will enable law enforcing agencies to deliver more effectively and efficiently’, police officers say.

The communities and the masses should learn the techniques used by the terrorists to subvert their off shorts. The masses should be motivated to offer cooperation to the community leaders and the law-enforcing agencies to counter the menace of terrorism.

Most important the Islamist parties must not put their own ambitions ahead of the national interests. Islamist parties must issue declarations condemning the jihadi militant groups and call on true Muslims to work within the political process to protect the country and reject sectarian violence.

Political set up in Pakistan is moving in divergent directions where they would be exposed to more vulnerable risks and mutual destructive moves. Under such atmosphere, the government should give a clear message to all the Islamist parties, whose role is enshrined in our cultural life, to choose their aims and strategies correctly beyond sectarian considerations to set the domestic policies in order to shed away charges of breeding terrorism in the world.

A unified Paksitan is stronger than a thousand nations and will never fall prey to the threats and attacks of miscreants and evil groups that twist the teachings of Islam to justify their violence against our people.

DEATH OF COLONEL IMAM PROVES JIHADI TREACHERY

TREACHEROUS KILLERS OF COL IMAM

TREACHEROUS KILLERS OF COL IMAM

If it was not already apparent from the murder of Khalid Khawaja last year the death of Col Imam clearly proves that the jihadi militants are not allies or assets of Pakistan but operating with no regards to loyalty or nation.

It would be proper to note here that Col Imam was outspoken against the American strategies in Afghanistan rather he was proponent of dialogue with Taliban leaders to determine an acceptable political solution to the fighting. For his efforts, the jihadi militants murdered him.

He warned that American attempts to divide the Taliban by bribing commanders was doomed to failure. “Their strategy will not work,” he said. “This carrot-and-stick strategy is going to backfire badly.”

But the manner of the death of the “godfather of the Taliban” suggests that there were some thing he could not foresee – and that even the powerful spy agency has very limited influence over the militants within their own borders.

This should be a grave warning to those who continue to believe the lies of jihadi militants that they want a peace while they are at the same time killing our soldiers and our citizens. Even those who have raised them from the beginning and stood by their cause are being murdered.

MUMTAZ QADRI ACT IS MUTINY AGAINST PAKISTAN

Confessed assassin Mumtaz Qadri is no hero. He has committed a dereliction of duty and brought shame to the security services of Pakistan. More specifically, he has committed an offense under the Pakistan Army Act 1952 of Mutiny and insubordination.

Mumtaz Qadri was a member of Elite Force Punjab whose unit was assigned to protect the life of former Governor Punjab Salmaan Taseer. Qadri disobeyed his commanding officer and standard operating procedures.

Worse than sleeping at his post or being drunk while he is on duty, though, this man has turned his gun on the official he was sworn to defend and killed him. According to the confessed assassin Mumtaz Qadri this was not on the order of any officer but was by his own decision.

This is not an issue of blasphemy laws, it is an issue of following the discipline and chain of command required of a high-level security force. If you agree or disagree with Salmaan Taseer’s view of blasphemy laws that is your right. But a man assigned to a duty must uphold his duty or if he cannot in good conscience uphold his duty he must resign. What he did instead was to commit an act of Mutiny which is defined as openly opposing, changing, or overthrowing an authority to which they are subject. At the time he committed the act Mumtaz Qadri was subject to the authority of his commanding officer and his Governor Salmaan Taseer who he admits openly that he killed.

It should also be noted that according to 2(d)(i) of Pakistan Army Act 1952 military law applies to any “persons not otherwise subject to this Act who are accused of seducing or attempting to seduce any person subject to this Act from his duty or allegiance to Government.”

Section 31 of Pakistan Army Act 1952 states:

31. Mutiny and insubordination: Any person subject to this Act who commits any of the following offences, that is to say, –
(a) begins, incites, causes, or conspires with any other person to cause, or joins in, any mutiny in the military, naval or air forces of Pakistan or any forces co-operating therewith; or
(b) being present at any such mutiny, does not use his utmost endeavours to suppress the same; or
(c) knowing or having reason to believe in the existence of any such mutiny or any intentino to commit such mutiny, or of any such conspiracy, does not without reasonable delay give information thereof to his commanding or other superior officer; or
(d) attempts to seduce any person in the military, naval or air forces of Pakistan from his duty or his allegiance to the Government of Pakistan;

shall, on conviction by court-martial, be punished with death or with such less punishment as in this Act mentioned.

If members of Elite force, Army, or any other security agency decide that they will make their own rules and decide which orders they wish to follow and wish they do not, this will create chaos in the ranks and undermine the very national security of this nation. For this reason, Mumtaz Qadri must not be praised but must be me made the example of the punishment received for disobeying direct orders and causing chaos in the rank and file.

SALMAAN TASEER KILLING IS HARAAM ACCORDING TO AQIDAH TAHAWIYYA

Imam Tahawi’s al-’Aqidah, representative of the viewpoint of ahl al-Sunnah wa-al-Jama’a, has long been the most widely acclaimed, and indeed indispensable, reference work on Muslim beliefs, of which this is an edited English translation.

Imam Tahawi stands out not only as a prominent follower of the Hanafi school but, in view or his vast erudition and remarkable powers of assimilation, as one of its leading scholars. His monumental scholarly works, such as Sharh Ma’ani al-Athar and Mushkil al-Athar, are encyclopaedic in scope and have long been regarded as indispensable for training students of fiqh.

Al-’Aqidah though small in size, is a basic text for all times, listing what a Muslim must know and believe and inwardly comprehend.

The clause 72 of the Aqidah says:

We do not recognize rebellion against our Imam or those in charge of our affairs even if they are unjust, nor do we wish evil on them, nor do we withdraw from following them. We hold that obedience to them is part of obedience to Allah, The Glorified, and therefore obligatory as long as they do not order to commit sins. We pray for their right guidance and pardon from their wrongs.

The entire Aqidah Tahawiyya is available online here
